UC Innovations in Care

eConsult

Online consultations that save time and money With eConsult, your UC primary care physician (PCP) and a UC specialist can electronically discuss your case so you don’t have to make an extra appointment. This program:

  • Is convenient. You don’t have to make an appointment to see the specialist.
  • Saves you money. There’s no extra cost for this service.
  • Gets you the treatment you need sooner. It only takes about 72 hours for your primary care provider to get a specialist’s feedback and recommendations—so you can get treated sooner. Your PCP can consult with physicians in 17 specialties, including cardiology, gastroenterology, orthopedic surgery, allergy, dermatology, pulmonary medicine and neurology—to name a few.

UCLA Integrated Management Program

Innovative patient care offering just-in-time access to your own care coordinator—a nurse or licensed social worker—to help you get care outside your doctor’s office. Your care coordinator will:

  • Call you to ensure that you’re following your doctor’s care plan by taking your medications, receiving follow-up care and more.
  • Make appointment(s) for you to visit specialists.
  • Find and arrange transportation for you.
  • Integrate your care with a UC pharmacist to ensure that you’re taking the right prescription, and help you avoid dangerous drug interactions.

Connect you with behavioral health specialists to help address your feelings after a new diagnosis.
