If you enroll in the UC Health Savings Plan (HSP), UC contributes $500 (individual coverage) or $1,000 (family coverage) to a Health Savings Account (HSA) that you can use to pay for your eligible health care expenses.* You can contribute to your HSA, too. *If you are a new hire, or your UC HSP coverage begins any time after January, UC’s annual HSA contribution for the year will be prorated according to this schedule. (However, the HSP deductible is not prorated.)
